At Silver Lake Christian Community Church, we are a people shaped by grace, rooted in truth, and united by love. As a Reformed church, our foundation is the unchanging Word of God in a world that is constantly changing. We believe in worship that is sincere, preaching that is thoughtful and grounded in Scripture, and relationships that reflect Christ’s compassion and humility.

We are a community made up of everyday people and families that are young and old who come together not because we have it all figured out, but because we know we need God and each other. A Message from Pastor Joe

Hello and welcome to Silver Lake Christian Community Church!

My name is Joe Bynum, and I have the joy and privilege of serving as the pastor here. I am a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, and an ordained teaching elder in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). My wife Tiina and I have been married since 2010, and together we’ve lived in four different countries, experiencing the beauty and diversity of God’s global church. We are also the proud parents of four wonderful children, Jonas, Josef, Jonie, and Josia.

As a family and as a church, we desire to live out the Gospel in a way that is faithful, welcoming, and full of grace. At Silver Lake, we believe the church should be a place where people grow in the truth of God’s Word, experience the depth of Christian community, and are equipped to serve the world with love.
